Monica Winans

I am Monica Winans. I teach 3rd grade at Sacred Heart School. This is my 29th year teaching. I attended Delta State University where I got my degree in Elementary Education.  I have taught both 2nd and 3rd grades. I taught 16 years at a public school in Desoto County before transferring to Sacred Heart. I attended Sacred Heart as a child from K to 8th grade, so this school is very near and dear to me.  I am married and have 2 daughters, 3 cats, and a dog. My oldest daughter is beginning college this year, but attended Sacred Heart from 1st to 8th grade. My younger daughter is in her sophomore year of high school. My family and I enjoy trips to the mountains, the lake, and watching movies. Some of my other hobbies include hiking, walking, and reading.
