I am excited to begin my tenth year at Sacred Heart and my fifteenth year as a school counselor. The counseling office offers a range of resources and assistance for students and their families. I work with students in different ways, including in the classroom, individually and in groups. Students are able to meet with me anytime they feel the need, my door is always open. My goal each year is to assist students with their educational, personal, career, and goal setting needs. Each Sacred Heart student is unique and has gifts and talents to offer. I encourage students to think about their futures and to be good citizens.
In the classroom, a few topics we cover are:
- Study Skills
- Problem Solving
- Career Planning
- Stress Reduction
- Transition to middle and high school
- Personal and social development
A few other services I offer are to facilitate and assist parents and teachers with any academic support needed. I offer referrals for tutoring, psycho-educational testing and crisis intervention when necessary.
