Rebecca Mayo

My name is Rebecca Mayo and this is my first year teaching at Sacred Heart School. I retired from Desoto County Schools in 2024, after teaching for 27 years! I taught kindergarten for 25 years, as well as one year of first grade and one year of Pre-K 4. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Delta State University. 

I grew up in Hernando, where I live with my husband, Todd. We have 2 grown children. Our daughter, Mary Allison, is a nurse and our son, Will, is a senior at Ole Miss. We also have 2 dogs, Delta and Cooper, and 3 cats, Maddie, Ollie, and Tobie. I enjoy spending time with my family and visiting different places, but my favorite place to visit is the beach!

I am very excited to be at Sacred Heart this year teaching Pre-K 4!
