Welcome to Mrs. Ketner's Third Grade class!

English, Reading, Spelling, and Handwriting

Reading

I want you to continue reading while you are at home. I know some of you may own many books or have Kindle accounts. Other students may have trouble finding interesting things to read at home. The rules for selecting reading material this quarter will be different. You may read ANYTHING that interests you for your daily 30 minutes of reading homework. It may be any genre or book level. You may reread books. You may read newspapers, magazines, instructional manuals, or cookbooks--any printed material you find around the house. You may read on a tablet, computer, or cell phone. The point is, KEEP READING! I will add reading links on this Webpage to free e-book sites.

Assignments

Pledge
Some students will require assistance from an adult on some assignments. I know that, because I would need to help some students individually at school. However, if an assignment is tagged with the word pledge, please respect the student's integrity and allow them to do the work by themselves. An adult may always help with technology.
Sacred Heart School is a Catholic environment dedicated to developing young people whose actions reflect knowledge, respect, and integrity.  Our mission statement reminds us the importance of doing what is right when no one is looking.  As a student of Sacred Heart School, I pledge that I have neither given nor received aid on this assignment/exam.
