April Wade

Hi! My name is April Wade. This is my second year teaching at Sacred Heart School, and my tenth year teaching. I have lived in many different states across the country. As a former military family, we lived in Hawaii, Texas, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, and Maryland. The Army life was a mix of excitement , challenges, and lessons in perseverance. I feel very blessed with the opportunity to live in so many different places and experience the uniqueness and beauty of each location. However, I am equally grateful for the chance to be back home in the Mid-South. After graduating from the University of Mississippi, I taught in DeSoto County for six years. I am the busy mother of three amazing kids. I enjoy spending time with my children, participating in church mission activities, volunteering with the Salvation Army, being outdoors, wathcing college basketball, hiking, art/decorating projects, and finding new ideas for my classroom. Most of the time, when I'm not at school, I find myself doing dishes, laundry, and going through the self check-out at the grocery store. I am so grateful for every single day the Lord has given me to be a mother and a teacher. A verse I have always loved is: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3-5-6. -
